Millennium Quaich for the Best Cruising Log 2005

Congratulations to Mary Wilson on winning the Millennium Quaich for the Best Cruising Log with her account entitled “The St Petersburg Dash” on the yacht ‘Madog’.

The competition was judged this year by Liz Tulloch of Yachting Life, who said:

"This was clearly an ambitious and exciting cruise accomplished in style by the Wilsons on Madog.  Mary Wilson presented this log in excellent style with maps and illustrations and thoroughly deserves this award."

The runners up were Mark and Susan Taylor with their account of Sailing the Norfolk Broads.

“This was another very interesting log set in 'furrin' parts.  It's sailing but not as we know it!  Congratulations to the Taylors for coping with the confined river room and the different rig and enjoying it.”

A special mention is due to young sailor, Cairns Harrison, for his account of the Club cruise to Inchcolm.
