DATA PROTECTION The Club will use this information to run its activities and keep members informed. Race results, boat details and boat performance statistics will be published. Names of members, without contact details, and the boats they sail may be posted in the Clubhouse and on the Web. The club will not release a member’s data to a third party without that member’s express permission. 7. DECLARATION I agree to abide by the Rules of the Club as posted in the Clubhouse. (Junior also need a declaration by their parent or guardian - see below.) I accept that the safety of any boat I enter in a race is the sole responsibility of the owner/person in charge, who must ensure that the boat and crew are adequate to face the conditions that may arise in the course of any race. I understand that the Sailing Instructions do not in any way limit or reduce the absolute responsibility of the owner/person in charge for the crew, the boat and her management. I accept that the race organisers shall not be responsible for any loss, damage, death or personal injury howsoever caused to the owner/person in charge or crew, as a result of their taking part in any race. Moreover, I warrant the suitability of any boat I enter in a race. I agree to abide by the Sailing Instructions of Port Edgar Yacht Club. I confirm that, before entering a boat in a race, I will correctly register its details with the Club. I will ensure that it carries insurance cover (including racing risks) of at least £2,000,000 and that this insurance will be valid whenever the boat participates in racing at PEYC.
