707 Edinburgh Cup – 2018

There was great racing at Port Edgar on the weekend of 21st and 22nd April 2018,  with seventeen Hunter 707s fighting it out for the 2018 Edinburgh Cup. In lightish winds racing was incredibly tight and after five races it was Blue Funk who lifted the trophy, equal second were More Tea Vicar and Seaward. This class seems to go from strength to strength and if you wish to be involved with close class keel boat racing this is the class to join. 707s regularly come onto the market for around £5k.
Special thanks to the race officer team ably led by Paul Deponio and Margaret Tait, all the rescue and mark laying team and to Bill Blyth for his Committee Boat.
