707s

The Hunter 707 is a one class design keelboat usually sailed by a crew of four or five. The 707 Class Association has more details on the boats . Port Edgar has one of the largest fleets of 707s in the UK and each year a number of Major Open Events for 707s are hosted at Port Edgar Yacht Club.  The Club owns two 707s - Apollo and Baltika, which are available for accredited club members to hire, for racing or just sailing.  If you are not an accredited helm, you can book a mentored session if you want to try out a 707 out or be assessed to enable you to become an accredited helm.  A six week course using the club 707s is also planned in 2024 for those looking to gain more experience.
