Introduction to Division 1 Yacht Racing - EuRobo  Mentored Sessions

These have been ongoing all year, but as of August 2025  we are relaunching them with a view to open it up to more members and as part of this we will be releasing the dates on a week by week basis. Book Here.  Race mentoring will also extend into the Twilight and Night race series in September and October

These sessions are designed to give club members an introduction to yacht racing aboard the 33ft yacht EuRobo. 

Participants can book up to 6 sessions. After that, we encourage you to explore crewing on other yachts, hiring a 707 to race yourself with others you have met, or simply take it as a fun and memorable experience that may inspire you to try other new things. Limiting the number of sessions helps keep the opportunity open and accessible to more members, as demand has been high.

Sessions will be released up to two weeks in advance to help manage bookings and ensure a diverse range of participants gets the chance to sail.

Both boats will be skippered and crewed by up to four experienced racers who will provide one-on-one, hands-on guidance in yacht racing. Its always fun, often tiring, and comes with a warning—yacht racing can be highly addictive!

Meeting Point: Meet at the clubhouse at 6:00 PM for a pre-race briefing, before heading to the boat. 

Note: It's best if you've previously been out for a cruise on EuRobo or a similar-sized yacht. Familiarity with basic yacht operations will help you get the most out of your racing experience.
